Melbourne, VICTORIA: Tickford Racing is today launching its 2026 Wildcard program that will feature in the Supercars Championship.

Entering it's third year of operation; the Wildcard program is an opportunity to provide our Tickford Autosport drivers, as well as external drivers, the chance to develop their craft behind the wheel of a Gen3 Ford Mustang within the Supercars Championship.

The team will run the TR-26 chassis for the Wildcard entry, previously driven by Thomas Randle during the last few Supercars seasons.

In 2026, Tickford Racing will run solo wildcard entries at Townsville and Ipswich, as well as an entry into the Ryco Enduro Cup at The Bend.

Tickford Autosport drivers Reuben Goodall and Ben Gomersall will drive solo wildcard entries in the program, with Gomersall entering The Bend as a Wildcard Enduro.

Goodall will drive the #5 Ford Mustang at Townsville in early July. The street track has been a happy hunting ground for Goodall in recent years, securing a double podium there with the Autosport program in 2025.

Just over a month later, Gomersall will take the reins in his home state of Queensland when Supercars returns to Queenslaand Raceway in Ipswich.

The car will then remain in the Gomersall colours as it prepares for the Ryco Enduro Cup entry at Tailem Bend in early September. The co-driver joining Gomersall for the #5 Wildcard Tailem Bend entry will be confirmed in due course.

As confirmed, Goodall will join Thomas Randle in the #55 Castrol Mustang as Co-Driver in the 2026 Ryco Enduro Cup.

Both drivers will complete test days in the Gen3 Ford Mustang with Goodall rolling out at Tailem Bend today.

Gomersall will complete his test day at Queensland Raceway later this month.

The timings and lineup of drivers are as follows:

Townsville 500 | 10 – 12 July | Driver: Reuben Goodall

Ipswich Super 440 | 21 – 23 August | Driver: Ben Gomersall

The Bend Enduro | 11-13 September | Driver: Ben Gomersall and TBC

Tickford Racing CEO Simon Brookhouse said:

It’s fantastic to be continuing the Wildcard program once again in 2026.

The program is fundamental to our young drivers’ development pathways as they pursue a full time seat in Supercars.

Reuben and Ben are fantastic young athletes and continue to prove themselves in the Dunlop Series and beyond.

To be working with them both in the Wildcard entries is a great opportunity for the drivers to work closely with Waters, Randle and the main game team as well as  show their talents on the track in Supercars.

Tickford Racing Wildcard Driver, Reuben Goodall said:

I am really excited to secure a solo wildcard round at Townsville in the Supercars Championship.

Having the opportunity to work closer with the race team, Waters and Randle in the lead up to the Ryco Enduro Cup is fantastic preparation at a critical part of the season.

The team have been great to work with to get more Gen3 seat time before the Enduros, so I will be looking to really learn every step of the way from now until then.

I can’t thank those who have backed me enough, from family to sponsors across my racing career, it is another step to my development and goal of reaching the next level of racing.

Tickford Racing Wildcard Driver, Ben Gomersall said

I’m super excited to make my main game Supercars debut in the coming months at my home round at Ipswich, and later compete at The Bend 500.

This is something that I’ve always dreamed of throughout my whole motorsport journey.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this point and to be rewarded the opportunity by Tickford Racing is a dream come true after a strong start to our Super2 campaign together.

I’m really looking forward to all the learnings I can take away from both Ipswich and The Bend 500 to gain some valuable experience for not only prospects of a main game drive in the future, but my Super2 campaign as well.

I’d just like to thank all my sponsors and family who have put in massive contributions to get me this far in my career.
