We officially kicked off day one action in Taupō after a warm welcome into town last night.
The evening track to town parade was once again stacked with people along every part of the drive from Taupō international Motorsport Park into the town centre.
Fans gathered and watched the parade, led by yours truly, before jumping in line to grab a signature off the boys.
It was great to get amongst the fans once again who welcomed the boys and gave a lot of supportive feedback on the #55 livery reveal video.
At the track, the mountains graced the stunning view out from the #1 garage as the team prepped for the two practice sessions.
Overall there is not much to report on the results front, three weeks without the cars means more tuning in the tight turn arounds were critical as we tested a lot of different set ups.
With so many question marks over the weekends weather, there was a lot to simulate and run through on both sides of the garage.
To close the day, we recieved updated communications from Supercars about the changing schedule over the next two days.
The impending weather has forced this change, and the team and drivers fully support the changes put in place to ensure we still get optimal running in Taupō.
For the full schulde, we recomend heading to the Supercars website for all the updated information.
Track action kicks off early tomorrow morning, with the two races to close out the day.
