The sun was out and shining for the start of the The Bend 500km race to kick off the Rygo Enduro Cup.

Car 6 started with Winterbottom on the inside of the track. Moffat was a row behind starting in Car 55. And in the rear of the field, Lochie was first in car 5 the begin the race.

It was a clean getaway for all in the field. With both Frosty and Moffat jumping Hazelwood off the line into 1, with Moffat edging Frosty out as they took off in chase for the cars in front.

Dalton threw some early moves and within the first few laps had jumped 5 positions to sit 22nd.

LAP 15:

Once the dust settled and a few other cars encountered early damage. All drivers had settled into their rhythm.

Winterbottom 3rd

Moffat 5th

Dalton 20th

LAP 25:

Moffat and Winterbottom came through for their first pit stops. The crew execute cleanly for both Car 6 and 55 as the cars return to some clean air running.

LAP 26:

The crew down at the Wildcard garage also execute clean stop for Dalton

LAP 34:

After being on the heels of Coulthard's for a couple of laps, Moffat set himself up with a great exit on the final corner. Once they reached the end of the straight, he throws a late dive into 1 and takes the place.

LAP 42:

Moffat and Randle change driver and refuel. Clean stop from all involved.

Randle rolls out effective P10 after a small off road trip from Moffat in the final laps of his stint.

LAP 46:

Waters and Winterbottom take their opportunity for a driver change. Mega stint from Frosty who was effective 2nd come the driver change.

LAP 51: HALFWAY

A huge stint from the young Tasmanian with Dalton swapping and Gray jumping in the car just at the halfway mark.

Randle and Wood fight it out over multiple laps and continue to change positions.

With 35 laps to go

Waters is within 2 seconds of Kostecki holding a good pace to stay in touch.

Randle continues to keep chipping away at the Wood gap, holding at just under 2 seconds.

Gray is putting through solid laps in between two very experienced drivers in Davison and Courtney.

With 27 to go. Both 55 and 6 pit

Clean and fast as they have been all race from the team. Waters to now hunt down Brodie.

LAP 88

Waters is managing a lead to Brodie of 1.4 seconds whilst Randle was chasing down De Pasquale.

Gray was in 21st holding off Stanaway.

CHEQUERED FLAG

As the chequered flag fell it was just too great a gap to catch the fast paced Kostecki who ran away with the race.

Randle closed a respectable effort and built a gap on the bottom of the 10

Gray and Dalton did not disappoint and delivered their first WIldcard Enduro with a clean and commendable run.

Waters/Winterbottom: 2nd

Randle/Moffat: 9th

Dalton/Gray: 22nd

Car was in a much better place than where we were at a few weeks ago. I had a great battle with Brodie and just didnt have my tyres where I wanted them when I saw how close Brodie was after his stop. They just made their car better and we couldn’t quite get there. Still very happy with second and a big thanks to the team.

It was a lot of fun. It’s nice when I jumped out and watched the race cause it was such a good battle.

It’s a new experience and a new role, it’s been great to work with Cam and the team. When you get to team up with some of the best in the category you learn so much so it was great to have the weekend that we did.
