Its Semi Final week at Sandown as we return for a home round this week!

‍

We leave a wet Gold Coast behind us but also prepare for more wet weather as we look at this week’s weather radar.

‍

Semi Finals is another level of pressure and anticipation for the team as we look to go one better than results achieved 12 months ago.

‍

Gold Coast was a clinical execution from Waters who delivered lap after lap in qualifying and the races to bring home a semi-final place. The conditions were tricky and with how quick the track can catch you out, it was about bringing the car home in one piece.

‍

For Thomas, the pace shown on Sunday was a great momentum builder heading into this week and we will be doing everything to roll out of the truck strong on Friday for the #55 Mustang.

‍

We also welcome back the Dunlop Series for their penultimate round and in the middle of their own dog fight for the drivers and team’s championship.

‍

Whilst there is a fair stretch to chase the driver’s championship, there is a never say never mentality which will drive the team to achieve the best results before we head to Adelaide to close out the season.

‍

DUNLOP STANDINGS

Teams - 2nd

‍

Nash Morris - 3rd

Campbell Logan – 4th

Reuben Goodall – 5th

Ben Gomersall– 6th

‍

SANDOWN CIRCUIT QUICK STATS

3.1km | 13 Corners | 2 x 250km Race Distance

‍

It's been a track the team has found pace on and off over the years, but we head in with a strong plan of attack that we will rollout straight from practice one.

‍

Wasters is only 21 points below the cut off line, which is only a few positions here and there that can really make the difference on progressing to Adelaide. A win moves him on instantly, but he also knows what a strong finish up the top end does for his chances over the weekend.

Great to be heading to a home round this week and still in the fight for the finals.

‍

Gold Coast was a tough weekend with all the weather but happy to make it through.

‍

Keen to bring the fight this week and get into the final 4.

Nice to be at a home track this week after a pretty busy period on the road.

‍

Gold Coast was tricky in parts, the wet weather was something we just could not get on top of for most of the weekend. It was great to have a top ten shootout appearance as well as some serious car pace on Sunday, I also had a lot of fun getting some good overtakes in there and ending up in the top 10 to finish off our weekend.

‍

We know there is still plenty to play for in the team and Im excited to build on the momentum that we had leaving the GC.
