Hello to the South Island! We have touchdowned in Christchurch for the second part of the NZ double header.
We leave behind a weekend that had fragments of positive moments, but overall we want to achieve more as a team.
Whilst we were disappointed Sunday didn’t go ahead. We remain aligned with Supercars and the Authorities that it was the right call to make for patron and event staff safety.
With the reshuffle of the Christchurch weekend, we welcome the early race on Friday as a chance at redeeming some momentum heading into the round.
Christchurch is very much an even playing field when it comes to Supercars. We haven’t seen racing in the Gen3 era here and that means we need to be on from the moment we roll out of the trucks.
We kick the week off with a driver signing session Thursday evening which will be fantastic to be back amongst the fans and locals in town.
From there it’s head down as the team comes together to bounce back and form a strong package for both cars.
Sunday will be a celebratory moment for Thomas and the team as he brings up his 150th race start in Supercars. A well deserved moment to reflect on a career that has him as a well respected driver.

Whether you’re at the track or supporting from home, we cannot wait to put on a great show this weekend. The team have felt the support from the garage all through Taupō and into this week so we cannot thank all those people enough.

It was a tough weekend overall for us and the team.
We were just struggling to get the car in the window over the two days but we feel like we have identified some of the issues.
Again it’s a matter of a tenth here and there that could have us much further up the grid for qualifying and would give us a chance to use our race pace to be on the podium.
Unlocking those improvements has seemed tricky at the moment but I have full faith in the team that we can get that this weekend.
We have four great chances this week to get some strong results on this really technical track. Keen to get back in the car and get back on it.

Tough weekend for us, just couldn’t quite unlock the speed we needed from the Castrol Mustang
Looking forward to bouncing back this weekend at a new circuit for Supercars.
It has been a while since I last raced here but excited to get on track and also will be very special starting my 150th race aswell!
