Welcome to one of the biggest weeks of the year as the world descends on Albert Park for the opening round of the Formula One Championship and round two of the Supercars Championship.
The team have taken a small breath post Sydney to head back to Campbellfield and prepare the cars for what is a very different setup that is required around the 5.2km circuit.
We left SMP not achieving the same results as 2025 but ultimately gained more out of this years event.
Waters scoring his podium after jumping 17 positions onSunday and Randle featuring in both Top 10 Shootout were highlights across the weekend that showed our strong intent to start 2026 on the right foot.
The weekend in Sydney also showed just how much you need luck to go your way sometimes.
With an unfortunate double stack early in one of the races and rain effected top 10 shootout lap, there’s things outside of the teams and drivers control that we take as they come.
The importance of qualifying cannot be understated at Albert Park, with such short races and overtaking difficulty. A blistering qualifying puts the driver in the box seat to come away with a victory over the 4 racesthis weekend.
On the flip side, it is a very punishing track that takes prisoners if you make one small mistake and even with the short races, there can be absolute chaos on the fast straights.
We are full focused on holding the teams championship lead for the all-important pit lane priority as well as strengthening the boys position in the drivers championship.
It looks like Melbourne is going to turn it on weather wise once we hit the track on Thursday which means we should have uninterrupted running all weekend.
We cannot wait to see all the fans and members at the track again this week and whether you are supporting from the track or home we will be aiming to come away with some more trophies.

Leaving Sydney with some silverware was a great feeling anda good way to top off a consistent weekend.
The racing was tough, especially on Sunday fighting through the field from a fair way back but it was amazing to have the car underneath methat I could use aggressively over the whole race.
We know we have some more gains to find in the car and hopefully we can roll out of the gates at round two unlocking more of thatpace.
It is always great whenever we hit the track at Albert Park, it’s such a big weekend for the category so to be involved is really special.

There are a lot of positives to take out of round one at Sydney last time out.
To qualify in the ten in all three races and feature in both Top 10 Shootouts over the weekend is a great start to 2026 and a testament to the team.
There were just a couple of things that caught us out in the races; in Saturday nights race we had to double stack and then late in the race copped a five second penalty for tracklimits. Sunday we just needed a bit more race pace which we’ve been working on since last time out.
We know there is more in the car and myself, and with only one weekend off, I’m keen to get out on track at theAustralian Grand Prix this week. We’re in the top 10 of the championship andleading the teams so they are two areas we will look to strengthen this week.
Racing on such an iconic track is always fantastic and a pinch yourself moment when you head out. We know how important qualifyingis with the short races and no pit stops so we will want to bring that pacefrom the first session.
