We came into the track ready to tackle the big day of the super sprint format, with two qualifying’s and two races ahead for the team.

Christchurch was showing its best as the sun shined down on the 3.33 km Ruapuna Circuit. Rolling out for qualifying, the boys were laser focused on trying to improve from Friday’s times.

Whilst there were improvements in both lap time and setup, the field also made incremental improvements.

It was a mere matter of 100ths of a tenth that kept Waters out of the ten with Randle not too far behind either

QUALIFYING RACE 11

#6 Cam Waters: 11th

#55 Thomas Randle: 13th

Unfortunately for the second qualifying, there was adjustments made on the #55 that just made the car fall further outside the window.

Both drivers have really strong sectors throughout the track, but the points that fall away hurt more than we are hoping at the moment.

QUALIFYING RACE 12

#6 Cam Waters: 12th

#55 Thomas Randle: 21st

With the focus now shifting to the race, the team knew there was a stronger race package than what we had in qualifying.

Keeping the racing clean, settling into a rhythm and finding the lines were most important for the day and both drivers started well jumping a position in the early stages.

Unfortunately during Randle's stop and there was an issue with the wheel nut that caused some delays. which set his momentum slightly backwards for the second half of the race.

RACE 11

#6 Cam Waters: 7th

#55 Thomas Randle: 14th

The evening brought a strong headwind down the straight as we lined up on the gird for the final race of the day.

As the race started, Waters made a dive to the inside after jumping well and the inside line proved to be dominant leaping 2 spots in the early stages.

Once the chaos settled and Randle appeared from the dust out the back of the track, he had also made up a couple of places from the rear of the grid.

RACE 12

#6 Cam Waters: 8th

#55 Thomas Randle: 17th

We take the next 12 hours as a chance to put everything into executing tomorrow’s crucial sessions as we close out the New Zealand Double header.
