While we had high hopes heading into Saturday’s race, our main game team was dealt a tough hand and experienced a bit of a reality check.

The day started poorly when Waters clipped the wall on his final lap in qualifying. Thomas Randle managed to make it through to Stage 2 of qualifying but ultimately was only able to finish 15th .
Whilst we were confident and has fast race cars, it is always difficult when you start from the rear of the grid.
This unfortunately was evident when both drivers sustained damage in an early incident which cause a retirement of other drivers.
Even though both cars sustained some damage we were able to finish the race and obtain some championship points.
After what will be undoubtedly a long night for our mechanics we look forward to resetting tomorrow and being back where we belong at the front of the grid.
Tickford Racing CEO Simon Brookhouse said “whilst we were disappointed with the VCS results we are absolutely thrilled to see our DS2team perform so brilliantly. In both categories looking forward to a successfulSunday”
The standout moment of the day came from Lochie Dalton, who broke through for his first career win in the Dunlop Super2 Series. After a string of strong performances, Dalton converted his pace into a victory – a major milestone in his development as a driver.
Lochie Dalton said:
“It’s such a relief to get the monkey off my back. I’ve known I had the speed and potential – it was just about putting it all together. The team has been a huge support, and this win means so much to me. A massive thank you to my sponsors and supporters who’ve backed me to get to this point, and most of all, to my parents – they’ve been behind me every step of the way.”
The result was made even more special by a historic finish for the team, with Tickford’s Super2 program locking out the top four positions– a first in Supercars history for the category.
Super2 Team Manager Dilan Talabani said:
“Having all four teammates finishing 1-2-3-4 is an incredible feeling and a proud moment for our whole program. It’s a testament to the hard work of everyone behind the scenes – the engineers, mechanics, and of course the drivers – who have delivered a truly exceptional performance today.”
