PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA | This weekend marks a major milestone for Cam Waters as the well-known driver brings up 150 round starts in the Supercars Championship.

Waters kicked off his Supercars career in 2011 with a wildcard entry into the Bathurst 1000 after winning the Shannons Supercar Showdown TV series at just the age of 17.

‍

From there he featured in co-driver entries in the Championship up until he joined Prodrive in 2015 where he partnered as co-driver with Chaz Mostert. Following Mostert’s accident at the Bathurst 1000, Waters made his solo main game debut as he substituted in for the injured Mostert for the remainder of the season.

‍

Following his 2015 Dunlop Series Championship win, the Mildura native then made his full time Supercars debut with the Prodrive Racing team in 2016 on the streets of Adelaide. narrowly missing a podium finish in just his third race.

‍

2017 saw Waters take his first win in the Championship with Co-Driver Richie Stanaway at Sandown Raceway. The Enduro win was the first of many for Waters who was only just kick starting his illustrious career with the Blue Oval team.

‍

Since 2018 and racing under the teams new Tickford Racing identity, Waters has notched 20 race wins, over 50 podiums and solidified himself as a qualifying master with 35 pole positions.

‍

Added to the accolades for Waters is the many fan favourite moments that have happened on track including such things as his two Bathurst podiums, burnout celebrations and the clean sweep in Sydney in 2025 which included the notable side draft.

‍

Currently sitting fourth in the Drivers Championship, Waters has been able to secure strong results the last few rounds with taking home the Darwin Triple Crown and then backing it up on the Streets of Townsville with a win in Friday’s race.

Great to be celebrating the 150 round milestone this weekend in Perth

Labels me as one of the older guys in the field but I’m still feeling pretty good and like I’m still one of the young ones.

‍

Hopefully will be celebrating at the end of the weekend with some good results and a glass of Whisky.
