Waters ran a clean race to finish 2nd place in Race 20, while Randle showed strong pace throughout the day but was forced into damage control after brake issues late in the race. With solid speed across both cars, the team is set for another big push on Sunday.
Cam Waters
#6 Monster Mustang
Practice 1 – 21st (1:14.5589)
Practice 2 – 3rd (1:13.2007)
Qualifying (Race 20) – 2nd (1:12.6195)
Race 20 - 2nd
"Qualified second which was pretty good and we had a really good start. the car was really good at the start of the sting but faded a little bit towards the end compared to Brodie. All in all good way to start our weekend with a P2 and a trophy, so we will make it a little bit better overnight, hopefully, and try get a win tomorrow"
Thomas Randle
#55 Castrol Mustang
Practice 1 – 7th (1:13.9527)
Practice 2 – 1st (11:13.0460)
Qualifying (Race 20) – 7th (1:12.8291)
Race 20 - 13th
“Race was a bit disappointing, started seventh and then we were eighth off the first corner. And then we lost the brake duct at some point. I don't know if that was during the stop or after the stop. So yeah, you need brakes, and it didn't really have much retardation in that last stint. It was just damage control, just bring the car home in one piece. A bit of a shame, because we had a pretty good start to the day and car's been quite quick. So, looking forward to get back into it tomorrow, another day, full reset and hopefully we can put the Castrol Mustang back up the front where it belongs"
