Whilst it was exciting to return to a racetrack, the wait had to be endured a little longer as the two practice sessions were scheduled in the afternoon at Symmons Plains.

Our week kicked off positively with a great fan signing session in Devenport. There was a huge turn out on Wednesday evening as fans got their first sight of the drivers and cars in Tasmania for 2026.

This morning at the track it was bitterly cold as all weather apps tracked the morning with an ice icon which is something we haven’t seen at an event in a while.

‍

As the sun continued to rise and the fog slowly disappeared, the crew went through their final pieces of set up from the night before to get the garages in working order.

‍

Fans rolled in not too soon after with many jumping straight to the paddock to catch the hive of activity happening in the lane.

‍

With pre-brief done and the boys warmed up, they jumped in their cars to begin the back-to-back practice sessions.

‍

As the green flag was about to drop, there was a delay to the session due to some oil being spilled by the previous on track racing.  

‍

Running of both sessions went to plan for the team who were using the time to adjust some set ups and collect as much data as possible.

We return to the track tomorrow for a big day of track action, two qualifying sessions and two races bring in the weekend of action.
