Kia Ora to our friends across the ditch!
We are very excited to be heading into a big couple of weeks racing at iconic circuits and getting back amongst the ever so loyal NZ fans.
Whilst there have been a few weeks between race weeks, the team have still been flat out back at Campbellfield prepping cars and ensuring we have everything that is needed for the trip to New Zealand.
Post the Australian Grand Prix, it was a tight five days topull the cars apart and prepare them for their journey on the water over to NewZealand.
Overall, the cars returned in very good condition considering some of the chaos we saw across the four races at Albert Park. There was only some light panel work that looked a bit out of shape and required some love to bring it back to life.
Damage sustained on the #55 car was able to be rectified in the garage on Saturday evening and it paid off with the fantastic podium for Thomas on Sunday. So, from that side of the garage, there was no major work to be looked at when it returned to the workshop on Monday.
After a week back at the factory, both cars were rolled into the container and a little under 12 hours later, it was picked up and on its way to the boat to start its journey.
For those who saw, we hope there was some enjoyment out of our April Fool’s Day ‘logistics error’ the team created. We can absolutely confirm that both cars are safely on the ground in New Zealand awaiting our arrival in a couple of days.
There is a mix of familiarity and the unknown heading into the New Zealand double header, of which the engineers have enjoyed the spare time to prepare for.
We return to the scenic Taupo International Motorsport Park for the third time in a Gen3 Supercar, a track that the team clicked well with last year as Waters walked away with a podium.
The challenge for the whole team comes with the Ruapuna Raceway in Christchurch on the South Island, a track that has not seen any Gen3 action before. The technical circuit is going to require some top-class race craft from Waters and Randle who have demonstrated such through the first few races this year.
The fun doesn’t just happen on the track with the return of two massive track to towns, signing events and much more happening throughout the two weeks. Plus, there is something very exciting in the works that we know fans, members and partners will enjoy.

Excited to be heading across the ditch for the double header and get back amongst the New Zealand fans this week.
The break has been a good chance to refresh after what has been a busy start to the year.
We find ourselves in a good position but I am still wanting more and we get a chance to do that with 6 races over the next 2 weeks aiming to be back on the top step.
The team have done great to retain that pit lane priority in the number one garage and we are locked in making sure we leave NZ with that still being the case.

This double header provides us a great opportunity to keep the momentum going following the podium on Sunday at AGP.
We saw the effect of what a DNF does so early in the year at the last round, so we will be looking to execute six really strong races inthis double header to get back in the top 10 of the drivers championship.
Very keen to get back to NZ in the Castrol Racing Gen3 mMustang. The tracks we have over the next couple of weeks should offer somereally good racing.
The NZ fans have always been great to us so to be on the ground kicking off a double header is very exciting and we can’t wait to put ona show for the fans here.
