Sunday’s race in Ipswich will see the number 6 switched out for number 300 on the Monster Energy Ford Mustang to mark the special occasion. Waters boasts a decorated Supercars career, including 18 race wins, 62 podium finishes, and three Bathurst podiums. He has also been a strong contender for the Championship, finishing runner-up twice.
From a young age, Waters showed his dominance on the track, securing multiple Go Kart State Championships, an Australian Formula Ford Rookie of the Year award and winning the 2015 Dunlop Series Championship.
His elevation to a full-time drive came with Tickford Racing in 2016 after strong showings throughout his junior career as he stepped into the number 6 Ford FG X Falcon.
A year later, he claimed his first Supercars race win at the Sandown 500, partnering with Richie Stanaway, and firmly established himself as one of the sport's rising stars. In 2020 Waters notched his first solo race win at The Bend as well as finishing second in the Championship.
Waters, celebrated for his qualifying prowess, has continued to set the bar for consistency over his years in the sport. His maturity and ultimate speed on track over his career has landed him in reputable company as he brings up 300 race starts in Supercars.
Ipswich presents an opportunity for Waters to return to the winners’ list and strengthen his position in the top 10, with the Repco Supercars Championship heading towards its inaugural Finals Series start on the Gold Coast in October.

I feel very fortunate to be bringing up my 300th race start this weekend. I love racing no matter if it’s on dirt or bitumen, but to have raced for this long in Supercars is very special.
It is very cool seeing the number 300 go on the car for the Sunday race to mark the milestone.
The support that Tickford, sponsors, friends and family have played in my career has been huge in getting me to this point today. I am super pumped to keep pushing for years to come and work on bringing more success to Tickford Racing.

It is a testament to Cam and what he has been able to achieve in Supercars now reaching 300 race starts. Not many drivers are able to put together a career such as his and to be so consistent from such a young age is why he is still at the top of his game today.
As a driver to deliver strong results week in – week out is no easy feat, so we can only sit back and applaud what he has achieved within our organisation and Supercars.
