We return to a street circuit for the first time since the Australian Grand Prix back in March.

It’s race week on the streets of Townsville and the team heads to Queensland for the first of three visits in 2026.
The 2.86km hybrid circuit is a mix of public road and purpose-built sections that create the technical layout that balances driver bravery and patience lap after lap. Known for its tight, technical corners and numerous overtaking opportunities, it requires the very best in race craft from the driver behind the wheel.
Off the back of a very successful weekend for the team in Darwin, we are excited to once again leave the Melbourne winter for some warmer weather and get stuck into three jam packed days of action.
We introduce the Wildcard program this round with Tickford Autosport driver Reuben Goodall making his main game debut in the #5 Gen3 Ford Mustang. He carries good form into this round after scoring two podium finishes on the streets of Townsville last year in the Dunlop Series.
Goodall will be supported by the main game team as well as a bunch of familiar faces from the Autosport team who will make the trip up to Townsville this week.
TOWNSVILLE RACE FORMAT
RACE 20 100KM | Soft Tyre | 1 x CPS | 2 x Tyres Minimum
RACE 21 200KM | Soft Tyre | 2 x CPS | 2 x Tyres Minimum
RACE 22 200KM | Soft Tyre | 2 x CPS | 2 x Tyres Minimum
Whilst we know the racing will be intense, the work will also be raised to a new level for the guys and girls in the team garage.
We welcome back plenty of two wheel action around the track as the cars bounce off the fast corner kerbs. Added to this, the tight concrete barriers means there is sure to be some extra attention required on the cars throughout the weekend.
In 2025, we saw both Waters and Randle get tangled up in a couple of battles throughout the races with Waters doing a full 360 and Randle being pushed up the side of another car.

This track has long produced strong results for the team and is a circuit both Waters and Randle enjoy tackling.
Waters has stood on each step of the Townsville podium whilst Randle has punched multiple top ten finishes over his four visits to the street track.

Fans will have several opportunities to catch the drivers throughout the weekend and there is a chance to catch them before they head out on track. Make sure you stop by Autobarn on Wednesday or Track to Town on Thursday to grab a photo and signature from Waters, Randle and Goodall.
As always we appreciate the support from our sponsors, members and fans and we cannot wait to roll back out and continue the Darwin form into this weekend.
It all kicks off on Friday at 10:35am AEST with Practice 1 before the afternoon’s Qualifying and 100km race.
#6 Monster Energy Driver Cam Waters
Its great to be heading to Townsville and racing on a really cool street track.
The debrief from Darwin was really good and we looked at the things we did and didn’t do well overall that we can work on improving into this round.
Townsville always has good racing and with there being a Friday race, it puts the pressure on straight from practice one.
We have had some pretty strong results in Townsville and fingers crossed we can do it again.
#55 Castrol Racing Driver Thomas Randle
Im really looking forward to heading up to Townsville this week. It’s a track I love driving and we have had some really strong results there in the past.
I feel ready both physically and mentally to get back in the car after what happened in Darwin on Saturday.
My focus is set on getting the Castrol Racing Mustang up the pointy end and showing the pace we have in the car.
We had a great run in Darwin on Saturday with a Top 10 shootout appearance, so we will look to replicate that pace on the streets of Townsville this weekend.
Im working super hard to get the results for not only myself, but the team, the sponsors and the fans.
#5 Tickford Racing Driver Reuben Goodall
It is really exciting to be heading to Townsville and get things underway with my main game debut.
There has been plenty of work happening all year to secure this opportunity and I just can’t wait to jump in the car and test my skills against the main game drivers. I have faith in myself and my race craft to perform well and I am fortunate enough to have great support in the garage to allow me to get the most out of this weekend.
I had some strong results here in 2025 when I was racing Dunlop Series, so I am confident in my knowledge of the track and I will be working a lot with the team, Waters and Randle to translate that across to the Gen 3 Mustang.
Cant thank my family, the team and my sponsors enough for supporting me in this opportunity. These moments are not taken for granted and I am really pumped to get a taste of Supercars racing this weekend
